This place gets an extra star for being local but is otherwise mundane. It is a sandwich shop and not a particularly wonderful one at that. I had the Oakwood special. It was too greasy and made me feel queasy. The fried pickles were lovely however.

Stanlieo's is a Huntsville classic, and this location shows why that is the case. The bread has a crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The meats are always savory and taste fresh. The mix of oil, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and salt and pepper make a great sandwich even better. The kitchen sink is the way to go if you're getting a sandwich. The fried pickles are pickle spears, not slices which I normally prefer, but still full of flavor and definitely worth it. Jordan lane has a lot of fantastic restaurants, and Stanlieo's is easily my favorite.

Friendly staff, quick service and a totally delicious sandwich. Got the Italian Cold Cut sandwich which is the same as the Kitchen Sink but smaller.

Underwhelmed by the cheese steak (with mushrooms, onions, peppers) sub. I asked for mayo to be added and they brought me the sub with 3 packs of mayo included in the bag. Not only is it inconvenient to add mayo to a hot sub (with cheese) but why is it so difficult to simply smear some mayo on the bread as the FIRST STEP to constructing a sub? This isn't the only place I've had this problem. The sub was OK but nothing special. The meat was a bit sparse and not of the best quality. Jersey Mike's makes a better cheese steak sub (except DON'T get the peppers there), and the Donut Hole makes the best cheese steak BY FAR in the Huntsville area.

Best place in Huntsville to grab a sub sandwich. Been going here for over 20 years and it is on my must stops every time I'm in town.
